The Pup Page: Life and Times of Sydney, Nash, and Nico
Resting my head, very shy. August 07 Sydney's first month with us, 1yr old

~~~~~~~~~~~~~ December 2010 I'm recovering now from a chronic nasal infection with antibiotics and steroids. It had become so bad that I was bleeding out of my nose. The next week, my big brother Nash somehow attained a large gash on his left front leg. He underwent anesthesia and received about 12 stitches. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ May 2010 We got a new backyard. Yep, pretty sure it's for us as it's super dog friendly. Nash and Nico each hang out on the "grass" and they painted and edged my cool summer area. Nice of them, eh? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ December 2009 We, the incident prone :) all have insurance! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ February 22, 2009 We have a new brother! His name is Nico Maximillio and we adopted him from the Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation (AARF), when he was 9 weeks old on Feb 14. He's a German Shepherd like us but with a lot of Great Pyrenees in him too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ July 29, 2008 Nash and I were running a breakneck speed in a field today. I got a couple scratches - Nash got a big gash on this left back thigh. Mom took him in for surgery. He's a bit groggy from the anesthesia but doing really good. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ April 15, 2008 I just got out of the Vet ER. Mom brought me to the clinic on Sat morning, and by that night I was at the ER. Sun morning I had surgery; they removed 4 ft of my small intestine due to a jagged bone that got lodged in there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ October 27, 2007 Today I got a big brother - and a friend. His name is Nash Chaunce and was adopted just like me. He's a German Shepherd, 3 years old, about 95 lbs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ September 29, 2007 I graduated today from my beginner training course - top of the class! Soon, on Oct 13, I'll begin intermediate training. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ August 11, 2007 I don't remember too much of my past. I grew up at the Dalhart, TX Animal Rescue Center. I lived there with my two brothers - and over 500 other dogs looking for a permanent home. Today, I was adopted. I am 10 months old.

Winter 2009 - Summer 2010
Christmas 2010
You can't take away the joy of Christmas. Sydney had a hard December, with bleeding out her nose, undergoing
multiple procedures to find out the cause (unknown). She's now on 4 medications for the foreseeable future
(benadryl, steroids, antibiotic, and urinary incontinence prevention meds) and is doing much better. Nash
managed to attain a deep cut on his left upper leg, needing stitches, then pulling out on his own a week later.
Happily he did a good clean job of it and continues to heal nicely. Nico has grown! and continues to snuggle
exceptionally well (picture, middle). With his penchant for digging, we created a dig resistant dog area so all three
pups can now have kitchen (via dog door) and outside access - and be okay on their own for up to 14hrs. Can you
say spoiled? (picture, right) Christmas came to our four legged best friends too (picture, left).
