Butterfly Garden - Denver
Katie helped to celebrate Ida's birthday with a
trip to Denver, to include the Denver apartment,
16th St, the Butterfly Garden, and a
performance at the Denver Symphony.  Great
times!

Justin's Birthday Surprise
Weekend

Justin's best friend, Matt, came for
the weekend, going with Justin for a
ghost huntings trip to Stanley Hotel,
a couple days in Denver with Improv
Comedy and great times with Ryan
and Lindsey.  Did they find any
ghosts?  Maybe...
Atlantis Family Vacation - Nassau, Bahamas
We spent five days of mid June in the Bahamas with Justin's Dad's side of the family and Tina's
Mom and her husband: Uncle, Tina's Mom, Justin, Katie, Brian, Tina (in large picture above).  It
was a fabulous time to relax, and we mainly stayed on Paradise Island - snorkeling in the clear
waters, riding the never ending adventure river through the rapids and shark tank, and enjoying
each others laughter during our evenings out.
Alaska Vacation - Fairbanks, Ninilchik
Justin suggested "why don't you use our extra air miles to go to Alaska before the baby's
born?"  Katie's eyes lit up and... away she flew!  Her parents met her in Anchorage and
together drove to Fairbanks to visit Eric, Akiko, Mayumi, Zen, and Maxine.  Next, the three
drove to Ninilchik for some more family time.  It was a spectacular trip filled with memories
and gorgeous scenery (Portage Glacier, Homer Overlook to left).  Did I mention my mom and
Akiko are amazing cooks?  I aspire...
Fishing-
Justin went on a late Fall
fishing trip with his great friend
Ryan and puppy Baily.  The
little guy is tucked into Ryan's
waders here (click on pic to

Surprise Baby Shower-
Katie's family from Cincinnati were in town
visiting Ellen in Denver and Katie thought it was a
regular visit - she was super happily surprised to
find out they had thrown a surprise baby shower!
Here is Aunt Edelgard, Lisa, Ellen and Courtney.
Squirty is getting bigger.. here at 20 and 24
weeks gestation.
Hawaii!!-
Justin had work in Oahu and Katie joined him for a last vacation before the last
trimester started.  With the house also going under contract to sell in mid October
and the moving process beginning, everyone needed a vacation.  This was Katie's
first time to see Waikiki, Honolulu, and the island of Oahu - so relaxing!  They
visited Pearl Harbor, an authentic Luau, deep sea diving on a wreck for Justin and
snorkeling for Katie, and finishing with a four days at the new Aulani Disney Resort.

Moving into Our Dream Home-
After 6 months on the market, we sold our old "starter" home that we had put lots of love and work into (finished
garage, basement, landscape lawns and backyard fountain, Pergo floors) on November 10.  The offer came in
mid-October and the price, in a bad market, was excellent.  The same day we went under contract for a home we'd
had our sights set on for over 6 months - this home.  Katie, and soon Justin, had fallen in love with it the first time they
saw it at the beginning of the summer.  The previous owners took loving care of it since they had it built in 1994; we
are dedicated to showing this home much love and laughter in the coming years.  This is the location we only
dreamed of living in, and this is the perfect home for us.  We look forward to raising Liam here over at least the next
15-20 years.  After so many changes, we've finally come Home.

(In addition to the pictures above, there are additional rooms, such as the laundry room, pantry, extra bedroom,
bedroom suite, and master.)
Merry Christmas!
